Good Karma Foods Partners with Wish for Wheels to Help Families Get a Healthy Start to School this Fall

Good Karma Foods, the leading producer of plant-based milk and yogurt alternatives made from flaxseeds, today announced a new Omega-3 initiative that will help families get the leg up on a healthy start to the new school year. From Aug. 1, 2018, through Sep 30, 2018, Good Karma Foods will donate $1 for every 12-pack of its new Flaxmilk Omega-3 + Protein Lunchbox Cartons sold in-store and online on Amazon to Wish for Wheels to help provide bikes to children from low income families this season.

For all families, making a healthy and positive start to the school year is so important. From getting back into a routine, adapting to new classrooms, teachers and peers, and of course, fostering positive new habits, the back to school season can be full of stress – and fun! Good Karma’s new Flaxmilk + Omega-3 Lunchbox Cartons were designed to meet growing demands from parents for a convenient low-sugar milk alternative that delivers a mighty bundle of nutrition while being school-safe. In an effort to support a healthy start for all this fall, Good Karma Foods is partnering with Wish for Wheels, a leading nonprofit supporting families from low income communities, to provide new bikes and helmets to Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in need in Colorado.

“We believe goodness multiplies when we work together,” said Doug Radi, CEO of Good Karma Foods. “Our original goal wasn’t to just create great-tasting and nutritious plant-based milk and yogurts, it was to pour ourselves into an effort that spreads goodness outward. As part of our ongoing efforts to support tiny but mighty organizations that radiate optimism and make the world a brighter place, we are honored to give back to Wish for Wheels as they work to provide new bikes to kids from low-income communities.”
Since 2004, Wish For Wheels has provided more than 30,000 bikes and helmets to children in need across the U.S., delivering thousands of miles ridden, and countless smiles along the way.

“Good Karma’s commitment to get bikes into the hands of children in need is truly inspiring,” said Brad Appel, founder of Wish for Wheels. “For children heading back to school, a new bike and healthy habits are so important and we’re honored to be working with Good Karma to make that a reality for kids in need.”
Launched in Spring 2018, the new line of new nutrient-packed, low-sugar Flaxmilk Omega-3 + Protein plant-based beverages are available in ready-to-drink options including the Lunchbox Cartons and 10oz Grab-And-Go Bottles.
